I haven't sewed clothes for a while, but am not worried I have been sewing for e-ons! Just got inspired to do up some summer things for Carlee, she will look so cute I am sure. Some sun dress type tops and a dress in coordinating fabric, with the panties, and a hat! Have the patterns all figured out and pinned, so cutting and then the fun part can start!
Lots of fabric, ha, am cutting out as I'm waiting for this to all load!
So this will fill my Saturday I think.
Well...my daughter Angie is just dying to see what I have made for her youngest, Carlee, she is 6 months now! Finally grandma is getting something knitted, all the way... hey! I still need to sew the side seams and put on the buttons, and a little finishing. 
This was started Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend, Then worked most of day on Monday.
Worked on it in those "stolen" moments, on Tuesday, and Wednesday. I used the Cascade Yarns 80% Pima Cotton and 20% Wool. Worked up beautifully! Made it for 12 months, hoping for her birthday in November. I plan on finding some fabric to make some
pants to go with, and will find some knit onesies also!
The yarn looks shiny in some of the photos, but it's not. It's a very grapie color. Which is my favorite.
This and another one I started are from the Nashua Booklet, BLOOM. I actually like all of the patterns in there, which is rare!

This, as I said is the next one on the needles. The very cabled sweater, which I am making in a light blue which will look good on her with her eyes! Although she looks adorable in anything1 I am using the CALMER yarn by Rowan. I just love Rowans yarns, they are a
lways so yummy!

Corrine is a friend of mine, she is one of 3 that I get together with> We share, pray, and learn new things! She is a Mother of 3 girls, married, and of course, has a full plate of LIFE! She was over one night last week to have a spinning lesson! Not that I don't have a
lot of perfecting to do!

She was spinning some wool! And finding it a bit frustrating, but I know she will get the hang of it! Her hands were just a natural where technique was concerned!!!
She was using my Joy Wheel, that I just love and have had for a long time really!

This is a lace shawl I knit last summer, and I mean pretty much all summer, along with all my painting jobs I had going on! The pattern is from the book, Sarah Dallas Knitting. I used Koigu yarn. It was fun to knit actually!
The Hops vine wraps around my sunny deck all summer and in the fall the "Hops" flower comes out! Love the chartreuse green and the shape of the leaf is very cool!
Here is an up close view, I just love all the greens and the subtle blue that comes thru with some gold also.
On the North side we have a small deck and a couple of Adirondack chairs. We love to sit out there and enjoy the "cooler" side 
and the sound of the ponds water flowing!

This is one of my clients house, actually the same one, Karen that I I've been doing her stone pathway and a few plantings for.
This was an accent wall that looked really good with what they have going on. I balanced it out by doing the same technique on a visually opposing wall in the living room area. This is a more open floor plan, smaller than most you see now a days. But doing techniques like this can make an area look larger than it is and definitely more interesting!
She had a lot of blue accents so I used some in her kitchen area. She likes to display her family photos and has tons of them. So I built these ledges so she can put u
p or take down as desired.
Here is the other technique wall that is there open stairway. Balances the overall design ascetic.
Gardening time is such a special time. We are just so fortunate to have wonderful varieties of "stuff" to pick from. It's mind boggling! Blumenladens in New Glarus, WI, is one of my stops. She is a wonderful gal who has not only been in business for quite a long while, but has built it up immensely! She has an indoor shop where there is just oodles and oodles o
f stuff, for decorating, gifting, cards, floral, you name it!
You could actually just roam around and not see everything!
She does a lot of custom orders, fresh and silks. And there is a lot made up, ready for purchase.
Then you go out her back entrance and there is a outdoor garden room, and out that a pergola covered walk filled with fountains, plants, pots, garden art. The list goes on! She has one of these built on the side also, you will find lots of perennials, annuals, herbs, and vegetables plants. 
It is very peaceful to just walk thru it and breathe in and breathe out!

I am doing some crocheting right now, along with spinning and plying of some yarn. This is out of the Interweave magazine, Crochet. It will be a lined bag with handles when done. Some of the yarn I am using was hand spun. It just gives it more character when you use hand-dyed, and or hand -spun, I think anyway!I do have to say that I still like knitting better, but am just hung up on those granny squares, no pun intended!

I thought I would throw in this as well. It is my sister in-law, Sheila's. It was I think her grandmothers. At any rate, very old. I had to re-glue, refinish, retie the springs down, and recover. I think it turned out very well. There were words though! That is some hard wood, for sure, and the tacks did not want to go into that without a fight. My Mom also helped with the tying down of the springs. She used to do up
holstery for a living. I did too, while my children were little. That is some hard dirty work to do. So know that what ever an upholster charges, honey it's worth more than that!!!
This is my niece, Sheri and one of her sons, Jordan....She's a "water" person for sure. Loves it, as does her hubby, Jeff, and her other son, Jared, does too! Wasn't made that way. I'm the, oh, it's so pretty, look at the view, ride the boat bigger than you...thank you, person!
It was such a beautiful day, this was on Saturday. At sister in-laws, Sheila and Larry's place on the lake.
The water just looked so gorgeous! We were up there to help put HUGE rocks in along there waterfront. 75ft, I think.
They are so cute!! The water was pretty choppy when they went out too.

Up in Lodi, WI there are quite a few shops one can meander thru, although Saturday when we were there, this one was the only one still open. The others closed by 2ish! So NOTE to self! Cottage House Primitives, LLC is the name of the shop. Carol Naab, is the proprietor.

A nice array of furniture, wovens, stars, candles, etc. She has the most I have seen for rug hooking, and needle punching.

I forgot there was even a bed in there, yes it's for sale!
I will return for I love to do this "craft" also, although I think of it has an art, from long ago, brought into the now of things!
I did get a very cool pattern book on rug hooking. I really love the Autumn themed designs, so will have to get supplies and get HOOKING! Check it out !
